12 days : Imperial Cities & Sahara Desert

With this trip, MMH offers you the chance to explore the Moroccan imperial cities and the fascinating desert on a journey that will make you truly acquainted with the culture, traditions and beauties of Morocco.

Day 1 : Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes.

We start visiting Rabat, the capital of the kingdom, and its great historical monuments: the Great Mosque Hassan II, Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower, the Kasbah Oudaias and CHELLAH. Then you will head to the city of Meknes or spend the night. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 : Meknes – Volubilis – Fes

Visit the town of Meknes, stopping to admire the main monuments that the site offers: the tomb of Moulay Ismail, el Hdem, Bab Mansor. We will arrive at Volubilis, where there are several ruins of Roman origins dating back more than two thousand years ago. Then we head for Fes for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 :Fès

Visit the city of Fez in all its alleys to admire its architectural treasures, the Medina and the various historic monuments in the city. We will miss exploring the markets and the bazaars typical of the Moroccan culture, finding typical souvenirs such as lamps, plates, carafe and many more.

Day 4 : Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Errachidia – Erfoud – Merzouga

Start of FES to IFRANE. Crossing the High Atlas by AZROU and crossed the largest cedar forest in northern Africa. Then the pass MIDELT, the ERRACHIDIA dam, the magnificent panorama of the Ziz Valley, through the town of Erfoud. You will witness the sunset at the top of BORJ TSE with a magnificent landscape of the city of Erfoud. Then you take the trail at night to reach the Erg Chebbi Dunes: Night in a hostel at the foot of the dunes.

Day 5 : Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga

After breakfast, you make the grand tour through the dunes: 2 oases MERZOUGA the wandering deposit, KHAMLIA town (village of the blacks) MIFISS mines, desert plateaus, nomadic Berber, oasis TISSARDMINE and return at the hostel around 15 hours then start the caravan camels to watch the sunset in the dunes, and you spend the night in a wild oasis located two hours of walking in the desert.

 Day 6 : Erg Chebi – Taous – Rissani – Quarry Fossils – Merzouga

After the return of the oasis, take the trail to TAOUZ to discover prehistoric engravings, then you will reach RISSANI to visit its famous door, the former royal palace, souk. At noon, tasting the specialty of the town: pizza Saharan Africa. After lunch, visit the fossil quarry, in the late evening return to the hostel.

Day 7 : Erg chebbi – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge

Start at the foot of the dunes to ERFOUD the direction TINERHIR to see foggaras (old pipes 15th century) the palm tinhgir (the largest palm grove MOROCCO), to reach the Gorges TODGRA (lunch at the bottom of the gorge). Early afternoon you will cross the city BOUMALNE, Dades Valley to reach the Dades Gorge where you will spend the night. Night in a hostel.

Day 8 : Dades – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate:

You take the road to the Valley of Roses and kasbah miles to the town of Ouarzazate (Hollywood MOROCCO): Visit the famous Kasbah TAOURIRT. Overnight at hotel in Ouarzazate

Day 9 : Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait ben Haddou – Telouate – Marrakech

You leave the city of Ouarzazate to go visit the beautiful kasbah AIT BEHADOU or even shoot movies such as LAURANCE OF ARABIA, OBELIX, Mummy … Then the trail will cross the mountain to discover the kasbah TELOUET in the late afternoon you will return to the city of Marrakech in one of the most beautiful passes of Morocco Tizi n’Tichka (2260 masl). the landscapes. Overnight at hotel in MARRAKECH

Day 10 : Marrakech – Visit the city of Marrakech.

City tour of Marrakech: the old Medina, its great historical monuments (tombs, mosques, large kasbah, the famous Jemaa El Fna square … In conclusion, Marrakech is the capital of tourism in Morocco Overnight.

Day 11 : Marrakech – Essaouira

Departure from Marrakech to Essaouira. The city suddenly appears on the rocky peninsula, with its white walls with blue doors and windows: The beauty of the soft light, the cool climate in summer accentuate the atmosphere that prevails. Essaouira where the sea and dreams are endless, its port, its ramparts to Vauban, the maze of narrow streets …. Overnight at hotel in Essaouira.

Day 12 : Essaouira – El Jadida – Casablanca

You leave Essaouira to Casablanca across beautiful landscapes. Night in Casablanca.
